We said goodbye to November with the final three weekend walks of the month, beginning on Saturday with an unusually British flavour as the vast majority of people who came were all ... well ... British. Bryn brought with him an entourage of family members celebrating Diane's birthday and they were joined by Lesley, Chris and Margaret from Scotland and Mike & Yvonne on a weekend jaunt from Liverpool. Here they all are wandering through one of the lanes just off Fleet Street.
The afternoon walk that takes us over the river Thames to Bankside and Borough was a somewhat smaller affair, but included Susan down for the weekend from Glasgow, Jerry & Willy from Ireland, and Jo from London and her Parisian friend Anne. Here they are down next to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre with St Paul's cathedral (where we began the walk) in the background.
The Sunday walk was a bit like a sort of United Nations ramble around east London and the group consisted of people from Germany, Italy, Canada (via Rome), Ireland and France. Her they are in Shoreditch outside Sydney Edward Tothill's coffee stall which has been there since 1919.
